About the class

An hour to come back to yourself

I started teaching this class the way I was taught to sit β€” as a way of caring for my own mind and heart. Monday nights are when a small group of us log on from wherever we happen to be, put our concerns down for an hour, and remember what it feels like to be quiet together.

I was a personal student of Ram Dass, and I still draw on what he taught me every time I sit down at the front of this class. He spent his whole life moving between two homes β€” the devotional heart of Bhakti and the clear-eyed discipline of Buddhist meditation. Some weeks we sit in silence the way a Buddhist teacher might guide it. Other weeks we lean more toward the heart, toward surrender and love as the practice itself. Most weeks it's both.

This class is for anyone drawn to a contemplative approach to meditation, wherever you land on that spectrum β€” whether you've been practicing for decades or you're just starting to get curious about what happens when you stop for a minute.

"The quieter you get, the more you can hear." β€” Ram Dass

Questions

Before you join

Do I need meditation experience?

No. This class works for complete beginners and for people who've been sitting for years. I teach to whoever's in the room.

What if I can't make it live?

Every class is recorded and posted for subscribers, so you can sit with it whenever your Monday actually looks like.

Is this a specific religious tradition?

The class moves between the Bhakti path and Buddhist meditation β€” the same ground Ram Dass spent his life exploring. You don't need any particular belief to be here. Come as you are.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, anytime. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your account β€” no need to ask permission.

What do I need to join?

Just a quiet spot and a computer or phone with Zoom. A cushion or chair helps, but your desk chair works fine too.
